Clyde & Co stations veteran lawyer in global insurance practice

Since starting as a barrister in 2000, Crossingham’s career has allowed him to act for all manner of professionals from solicitors, accountants, surveyors, and pension trustees to those in tech, media, and emerging professions.

“We are in a prime position to expand our services and products in an ever-evolving professional indemnity market,” said Clyde & Co partner Louisa Robbins. “The addition of Rob will really bolster our national offering in professional disputes, particularly for insurers and other innovative businesses in the insurance market.”

“Post-COVID financial uncertainty and the difficult economic conditions we are seeing have raised the prospect of an increase in claims in professional and financial lines,” said James Cooper, the firm’s global head of insurance. “Bringing on board Rob, a leading light in this area, will help us continue to support our clients as they navigate this changing landscape.”

Last week Clyde & Co announced its merger with BLM, creating a firm with a global revenue of over £700m per annum, a team of over 5,000, and offices in over 60 cities worldwide. Since the start of the year the firm has added Stacey Rufe in Washington, DC, and Susana Martínez in Madrid to its insurance practice.
